Depending on the product, it is made 100 % from either bovine or marine sources.
Once ingested, collagen is broken down in the digestive tract into its building blocks – small peptides and amino acids.
The body then uses these where they are needed most. That’s why the original collagen type is less important for supplementation than the quality and bioavailability of the product.
